New Year’s Eve Cocktail

Is there any sweeter sound than the

of something bubbly being opened? We don’t think so, at least not for a New Year’s Eve celebration! Bring in 2016 with a little fun and good luck with our prosecco cocktails.

Prosecco, a dry, bubbly wine from Italy, will knock your socks off in these easy and festive cocktail recipes. Whether you prefer the flavor of orange and citrus in our Cointreau cocktail or the sweet-tartness of pomegranate and prosecco, you are sure to impress your guests!

The pomegranate cocktail is perfect for when the clock strikes 12, as many cultures believe pomegranates bring wealth and (heh-hem) fertility to those who eat them with the new year. Many European and Asian cultures also believe in eating 12-13 round fruits for good luck and wealth in the New Year. We think 12-13 pomegranate seeds in a cocktail will do the trick. Check out our Zesty Tip, how to seed a pomegranate.

If prosecco is too dry for your taste, we suggest swapping it for a sweeter sparkling wine, like Moscato Spumante. Even better, give your guests an option by setting up a bubbly bar at your party, complete with garnishes, liqueurs, and sparkling wines. Unsure of how to deseed those pesky pomegranates? Check out our Zesty Tips for our favorite way.

We hope you enjoy these with good food, friends, and family this week. One word of warning: the liqueur-prosecco mixture makes for one strong drink. Enjoy responsibly, so you can start of 2016 as your best self.

Happy New Year to you and yours.
