Are you tired of unsatisfying snacks? Does your stomach feel like a bottomless pit around 3pm? We’ve been there, we get it: pretsels, crackers, even your go-to granola bars just aren’t cutting it. Not to worry, we have your back, with this delicious bean dip that will fuel you up and keep you going. Afterall, its only 3:00PM! You have a full night ahead of you–a growling stomach and foggy brain just won’t do. You need a power snack.
Snacking can be great, if done correctly. But, the “fast moving”, refined carbs found in many snack foods will leave you hungry and stuck in a calorie hole. If you want that oh-so-good feeling of satisfaction, you need two things: protein and fiber. Protein makes you feel satisfied, while fiber keeps you feeling that way longer. Take both of them to any meal or snack and you’ll be one happy muncher. You can get this power combo in a lot of ways including fruit with reduced fat cheese, greek yogurt with oats, hardboiled eggs with avocado and whole grain crackers, or a tasty bean dip.
Beans contain protein AND fiber, making them a smart snacking solution. That’s why we love this Lemon Rosemary bean dip for a snack with whole grain crackers (we rave about Triscuits), and some fresh cut veggies. Dips like this are so versatile, you can use them on their own or as a sandwich topper in place of mayo, either way, it’s delicious. Good-bye hunger, hello satisfaction.
